Do you practice Responsible Tourism?

We know that most of you already practice Responsible Tourism. From La Almunia del Valle we want to give you some recommendations so that you take them into account and thus, among all, we contribute to the respect and care of the planet:

1- Plan and book in advance. You have to start being responsible for yourself. Good planning and booking in advance will help you find better prices and reduce the stress caused by leaving things for the last moment.

2- Choose an eco-friendly accommodation. In responsible tourism we are all involved, choose a hotel that cares about the environment and has sustainable practices.

3- Who has not ever left the light on in the hotel room and the air conditioning at its maximum power? "To pay for it" it's not a valid argument. With practices like these, we are wasting resources and harming both the chosen place and the entire planet. Remember, if you are not in the room, switch the light off and turn off the air-con.

4- Contribute to the economy of the destination. Consume local products that help the development of the territory.

5- Try to avoid single-use containers and bags and collaborate in the local recycling system. Ask at your accommodation if you have doubts, they will help you.

6- Respect the mother nature and try that the only footprint you leave is the one from your shoes.

7- Have your tickets, maps, tickets and guides on your phone or tablet. Having them in digital format will prevent unnecessary use of paper and reduce waste.

8- Find out and adapt yourself to local habits. Traveling also implies learning about new cultures and habits of life.
